Talkhouse Productions in association with Darlo Drama presents Robert Allan's An Ordinary Person.
A distinctly Australian story exploring the paradox of violent victims.
Inspired by an Australian High Court case which spurred lawmakers to rewrite self-defence laws, An Ordinary Person is a dark comedy that tackles the raw issues of victim identity and abuse through the lens of the characters’ relationships.
When a meeting between characters struggling with unresolved trauma and suppressed sexuality ends in violence and death, the audience is invited to become social juror and decide: should a victim get away with murder?
